Nestled high in the Pennine Alps lies Monte Cervino, or the Matterhorn. At the height of the Cold War, the United States and the U.S.S.R both sought to establish secret, mountain-top bases at the summit of the Matterhorn. Under the guise of an international show of sportsmanship, each nation sent their finest alpinist to participate in a scouting mission of the mountain. Clad in snowshoes, the climbers raced to the top. However, when the sun goes down, all bets are off as it is rumored that the fearsome Yeti makes its home on the peak…

Overview
The Great Matterhorn Snowshoe Race pits two intrepid climbers against each other in a race to the top of the mountain. Players strap into snowshoes, arm themselves with guns, and follow LED prompts to pace their steps. Yetis will eventually appear and can be gunned down for an extra boost in progress. Exit this stage by inserting the key card. Wait for Game Start When the key card is inserted, both yeti’s pop up. The game waits for each player to shoot their yeti before beginning. Walking After each yeti is shot, the foot indicators light up. As players follow cadence with their steps, their respective characters move up the mountain. This stage is exited by a timer. Stomping After the walking stage, the foot indicators will show two steps for each foot. If the player correctly matches this cadence, the opposing climber will move backwards down the mountain. This stage is exited by a timer. Yetis The foot indocators resume alternating, with players moving up the mountain for correct steps. However, one yeti will pop up. If the player shoots the yeti, that player’s character advances further up the mountain and the yeti will pop up on the other side. When the yeti is active on one player’s side, that player will advance more slowly up the mountain. This stage is exited by a timer. Sprint to the Finish Both yetis go down, and the players match cadence with the foot indicators for a few final seconds in a race to the finish. This stage is exited by a timer Victory The player who advanced farther up the mountain gets raised to the top and that player’s flag also gets raised. The game then resets to the idle stage. |
